It has long been recognized that proper hand hygiene is the most important way to stop the transmission of micro-organisms which potentially cause disease. Yet, numerous studies document that hand hygiene compliance among caregivers in healthcare is typically no more than 50%.

While there are a variety of obstacles to hand hygiene compliance in healthcare, the primary barrier is that hand hygiene products are not formulated so they are appealing to use, often causing dermatitis, or dry, irritated skin.

CliniShield Hand Hygiene products are specifically formulated to be mild and appealing to use by healthcare professionals. We only select high quality synthetic detergents for our handwash products to minimize dermatitis, even with frequent use. 

Fragrances used in CliniShield products are very appealing to caregivers, do not linger on the skin, and have little or no history of causing sensitization.  We use very low levels to achieve the right balance between promoting frequent use and minimizing any chance for sensitive skin reactions.
